Annual 5-K Run a Huge Success February 3, 2025

The 14th annual 5-K Run fundraiser for our New Futures Campaign was held recently at Blacktop Park in Charleston.

Held in memory of Nikki Jones, the past event chair, the event hosted 56 runners and had 16 sponsors. A silent auction, lunch and awards rounded out the day’s festivities.

Funds raised will be used toward scholarships for underserved youth in the Khightsville area.

“We are eternally grateful for the support from Blacktop Park, our runners and the Khightsville community for making this year’s run a successful and wonderful day,” event chairs Jesse Harrison and Jill Smith said in a statement. “Everyone’s support allows the us to continue to make a difference in the lives of local youth and we are already looking forward to planning for the 15th annual event in 2024.”
