Dana James brings more than 20 years of experience in advancement, having contributed to the success of two major university campaigns, including Western’s Be Extraordinary Campaign, which raised over $800 million. With expertise in principal and transformational giving, Dana has a strong track record of driving results, engaging volunteers and building meaningful relationships with alumni and donors. Prior to joining Western in 2008, she held senior fundraising roles in the health and medical research sectors.

A dynamic and strategic leader, Dana is committed to aligning philanthropic support with institutional priorities and collaborating across the university to advance Western’s mission. She is also a proud Western alumna, holding a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the Faculty of Information and Media Studies.
